■Purpose of use
A device used to drain fluid from a body cavity by inserting it into a body cavity excluding blood vessels.
■ How to use
① Disinfect the area where the catheter will be inserted for drainage.
② After inserting the catheter into the body cavity, only the needle is removed. It can be used by connecting a syringe to check for drainage upon insertion.
③ Secure the catheter insertion site with a dressing or bandage.
④ Connect the connecting tube and drainage bag to the catheter and drain the body fluids.
⑤ Once drainage is complete, remove the catheter and treat the puncture site.
